Shot #11 Down.
Hope everyone is doing well this evening.
Don't forget to leave milk and cookies (and ice cream) out before you go to bed.
Hey, Hortkie,
days of bright light is approaching slowly but surely in my parts of this spinning ball of ours.
Here the other day I suddenly realised why the masters of soccer are able to swerve the ball into the the net, as they have unconciously dreamed of the relationship between ball speed and rotation :-}.
Wasting four of my growing up years as a goal keeper for one of the phinest soccer clubs of Norway, I have to tell you that the number of balls that I had to pick out of my own net was two (2)during our best season. Taking into consideration the fact that our forward score was 98, it ain't bad at all.
That's why I go with you in the request for leaving something in the barn, free to take for whoever might need it. Over here in Norway (and the rest of northern Europe, too) we often see the intervention of the Nisse. I know I can't expect any of you bros over there to truly understand what we're talking about here, so let me just invade a minute of your precious time.
Nisse: Small guy with a red cap and a long, white beard, spending most of his time making gifts for kids and checking out who has deserved them (the gifts). It is an downright offense not to go to the barn with the Nisse's stew. It just has to be done. So excuse me while I wobble upstairs cause this is the night of the Nisse.
That's OK for Hort ?
And one more comment, Hortkie,
if we will not be able to forward our xmas ways of thinking and acting into the near future, then to hell ( invented and voted in at church meeting in Rheims, France in 315 after christ) with it all. I will not hurt another person. Not because it will result in my going to hell, but because IT HURTS. There is so much suffering on this swerving ball and I for one have had enough of it. This is the message of Jesus Christ, and not only that. This is the true call from any human being long before they had him nailed to the cross. We must stop engaging in discussions dealing with who are the true gods and so on. We know that pain is the worst part of living, and the meaning of life is to reduce that kind of suffering. This is my belief to the bone, and don't bother to answer this posting if you disagree. Just to let you know, Hortkie, I'm not part of the Christian Church, but I do share some of their values.
One of them goes: Don't f**ck a woman if you can't lift her boyfriend. Smiling for you, Hortkie, be hearing from you, I hope. All the best for the holidays !

Way to go, Hortkie. I assume you're fairing AOK with this roller coaster ride to hell?
I did leave out some milk and cookies...and a nug for our fat friend. Later that night I reclaimed the nug and pigged out on the cookies and milk. He got crumbs. I got a lump of coal.
Major - I did the about the same - went back and ate the cookies. No nugs around here for the past 6 months - but used to roll one up and leave out. This always made the fat man happy early in the a.m.
So I got a lump of coal also and insomnia.
I've been naughty but Santa cut me some slack. I always leave carrots for his reindeer. And I always stock up on plenty of ice cream. Glad that the shopping and associated stuff was managed OK. I did not shop at all this year, but my sweetie helped a lot.
