The verdict in is about Wayne "Big Dub" Simien

out 4-6 weeks, has to have surgery on his thumb after a very hard foul that was not called during the South Carolina game :-(

feel bad for Dub, he has been plagued with injuries for the past 3 years & this is HIS year, one of the pre-season players of the year
he'll be back in time for most conference play

now we'll have to see how we do without our big guy, we do have a helluva lot of talent on our squad, just need to rely on some of our other players to pick up the slack

I am sure that many of you are as devastated by this as I am :-)
haha
good one

but now, it'll be interesting to see how KU can do without Wayne over the next month & how we can manage our road games, since our first one is not until Jan 9th at Kentucky

I am SO ready for conference play, that's when I watch ball most every night, what else would I be watching???

ROCK CHALK JAYHAWK~ GO KU

I think he is going to be a pretty good pro player someday.

Don't worry Hemptress, your Jayhawks will be fine all regular season. Come tournament time, I can't make any promises.

Not if this means more playing time for that guy that tipped in the shot for the other team
