my pet mouse mickey passed to the great beyond saturday night. no, he wasn't named after that other famous mouse. actually he was part of an evolution. i first acquired 2 mice from a 13 year old friend after her housemates started complaining about the smell. they were named tom and jerry. when tom died i bought a mouse to keep jerry company. who better than "phil"! then jerry died and i got mickey to keep him company. phil finally died and i decided to let mickey live solo. he didn't seem to mind at all. he had an open cage policy and would often come out to greet me when i would come home. of course he really probably just wanted a cheerio which i would usually make him wrestle for-----my 2 fingers and his whole body tugging on it.
in other news, i just talked to mark, on his way home from 2 great phil shows. he tipped me off to the mardi gras show in february and i just got my ticket! thanks mark! i am trying to get ready to head back to philly on friday to visit with family and friends. i will be celebrating my 50th birthday with govt. mule in baltimore on dec. 28th. anyone else going? it would be great to meet up with some fellow zoners! anyway, i hope that everyone is doing well! take care and happy holidays!

Sorry for Mickey. I used to have a squirrel that used to visit my house outside on the steps for awhile to get fed. Then stopped coming around.
