One the most wonderful experiances of my life was cathing Michael Crawford and Sarah Brightman in "The Phantom Of The Opera" live on stage here in lala land. Actually I saw it twice. They made a movie of the play and is openning soon. Don't miss it. I'm worried about seeing it in public. My emotions on tx are out of control.

PHIL FOR ME!!!!!!!!!
A friend dug up a Sunday ticket for me.
Tommorrow, I head for Fresno. Thurs to Walt and Kimberly's in Placerville. Fri to Oakland to check on Cap'n Budley's phine sea vessel for him and swing by offices of Cal. Transplant Donor Network to pick up some local flers for the parking lot. Sat to SF and try and get a ticket for that nights show. Sun gettin for sure thanks to my good friend Jennifer. Monday Long drive home.
To all newbies, This crap is doable. Water, this site, and music are essential. If you are lucky enough to live in a semi-enlightenned state, med marijuana helps a lot.
When you don't feel like moving, go catch some good tunes and you'll be dancin in no time. I prefer the Blues but any good music will do.
This weekend will be a tune up for Feb.
Good vibes out to all, PEACE, Mark

Looking forward to seeing you, Mark!!
Sorry I can't catch the show(s) with you, but lotsa irons in the fire. Any requests for dinner?
For the new pholks: it's doable, and it's made a lot better by hangin' with good friends. Mark, Kimberly and I will be gangin' up on the Dragon.

Man......

Mark, you lucky son of a gun you!! I am just a tad bit jealous mind you, but happy as heck for you. I tell ya.....some people just get all the luck. ( then again, you got this damn disease, so I guess your not all luck, eh?)
Anyway, that is wonderful that you get to go. What I'm saying to you guys out there.....is count your "freakin" blessings that you'all get to see Phil this winter. Us east-coasters....get
zilch at this time of the year ( every year).....seeing that the Grateful Dead, The Dead, Phil & Friends, Ratdog, or some assembly of part or all of these musicians play out there for the New Year.
Well, that's just the way it's always been, so I won't fight tradition......anymore than I can fight these damn laws which prohibit us un-enlightened states from enjoying your
medical marj. benefits. I know someone will say.....oh, but you can fight it, all you have to do is blah, blah, blah. Well, my friends..... all I can is, "You've never stepped a foot in Virginia!"
This state is "hands-down" the most conservative state in the U.S., I'm pretty sure. Maybe Mississippi or Alabama could give us a run for the money, but then again we are a "commonwealth" state, so there are alot
of very strange laws that go along with that. I'm not going to go into a long drawn out deal on that, but take my word for it. I'll give you one example; my best friend got caught last summer while fishing by the game warden with a pipe full of mj. That was it....( it measured .67 of a gram worth of pot). He recieved 30 days in jail which they suspended, 6 months supervised probation in which he has to see them weekly to take urine test, go to a class every Tues. evening,
and had his license suspended for 6 months( this is an automatic deal where any drug or alc. charge even if your not driving results in a suspension), and oh yes.....we musn't forget the fines ( $350 for poss., plus court cost, and a laywers fee).

Sorry folks, don't mean to ramble on here......but I think you get the picture of the state in which I live. It's literally rediculous........so everytime I hear someone here say that they have just gotten their medical MJ card.....I really cringe. I am so happy for you, but at the same time.....I literally want to go down to the courthouse and start posting up copies of the laws they must have in some of these "enlightened" states as you put it.

......Hey Mark, I am really happy for you buddy, please don't take anything I said the wrong way. Just be thankful for what you have there, but also realize that you are very much in the minority. It's really a shame our country can't all get on the same page here, at least on this one very vital issue. Enough said.........sorry! :-)

No problemo, Martino. I know we are lucky.
Viginia vs Fresno St in the spud bowl or some such thing.
By the way, Mule and String Cheese and just about everyone else is on the least coast for NYE. Dead aren't playing. Nothing on the west coast I can find yet.
PEACE, Mark

Hey Bear!!.....

Oh yeah bro, you better believe I'll be there at The Norva on April 29th. Hopefully I'll be tabling the show, if David can set it up for me.
Would you like to join me for a fantastic show, and blast of a time? Anyone & everyone is welcome of course!!
There is a really cool Hotel right accross the street from the Norva called The Madison which is a beautiful old hotel well over 100 years old. It's all very old and beautiful polished wooden hallways, and brass fixtures all over!! If you have a ticket from going to a show over at The Norva, you can get a very nice size room for like $75-$80!! Wow.....you can't beat that. You get 2 huge queen size beds, with 2 bathrooms, a fridge, coffe pot, and a nice TV with all the cable channels. The only thing they've left off is the swedish models to come up and give you a nice relaxing massage.....but we'll just have to order out for that (LOL)!!
It'll be a blast......hope someone around this way wants to go, I'll be there with bells on my toes!! :-)

What a beautiful view from the front porch here.Bout a hundred times as many stars as I can see from Long Beach. Not as many as Tony and Bruce can see from their beautiful state, but very nice. I won't be able to post again until mon night/tues morn, when I get home, so I'll try to remember most of what I wrote the first time. Uh,....who am I? Remember that Joe MacDonald tune?
Anyway, As I'm beginning to expect from her, Kimberly's meal was wonderful! Stuffed Porkchops. YUMMMMIE! Walt and Kimberly are phine hosts, who really make a guest(even me) feel welcome. I just hope I don't wake them up. I'm trying to be quiet, but have always been a trifle clumsy. Then I lost the longest post I ever wrote. They have a real nice place, nestled in the woods east of Sacramento. Very cozy. I've got the blues on really low on the tv behind me, and feelin pretty good. Took a restoril over an hour ago hope it kicks in soon.

Anyway, Martin, I'll call you from the bay area.

Judy, Call me.
All who have my new cell are welcome and encouraged to share same with all hepcats, kittens and caregivers who might inquire.
All feel free to call me this weekend as I have unlimited mins fri-sunday all day/nt. (Anyone who needs to call me can call anytime).
I'm already dreading leaving here tommorrow, as these two are exceptionally phine pholks. I hope you all get a chance to meet them.
How long has that "Make a Donation" sign been there(top left)?
Hope all of you will have as good a weekend as I am already having.
To all the newbies out there, WATER, THIS SITE(and all that it entails), Good Music(whatever your' tastes, I prefer the blues),a couple of prescriptions, my med marijuana, and more water have gotten me over the halfway hump. Agreat family and many good friends don't hurt either. This is doable! With each others help through the tough times and fun and rejoicing through the good, it is absolutely doable.

"You are all awesome Peace Rob". None more than you, Rob.

Martino, Mule or String cheese in NY on NYE. Only band I'd rather see right now than Mule would be the Dead w/ Warren. String cheese would be up there. Of course Phil. and DSO. Hot Tuna, Clapton, etc etc

Trying to find some Leo Kottke or Michael Hedges for Maria, she is so generous it would be nice to give her something. I think there might be a "special" hendrix for her soon.

Thanks for the Mr Johnson lyrics, X.

Hortkie, thanks, I plan on it! Wish you were here. ( my favorite all time album). Must be song title nite in marks foggy brain.
Gettin on 2AM gota get to sleep. hell,Walt could be up before too long.
David, wish you much energy in your upcomming(already started?) extensive program for awareness.
Damn 24 hr after shot headache. nother800 mg ibuprofen.
Rose, and all newbies, hope you are coping well.
WE are all so lucky to have found this site.
PEACE, Mark

Walt here.
Mark is still snoozin', hope I don't wake him.
Not the first time Mark and I have capered together- He's a Zero- maintenence guest and a phine brother in the brigade. The only downside of havimg him here is knowing he's on the road again so soon. Wish I could head to the Warfield with him but other obligations.. At least I'll be able to show him around here this morning.
All you East Coasters- how come nobody's visiting other heppers for the holidays?
