Just got back today with a packet full of info from LiverMan. Biopsy results in for me a 46 million count of hep C, 1b....
Chronic Hepatitus C,grade3/4 inflammation, and stage3 4/4 fibrosis, High grade of portal tract inflammation, with lobular inflammation and interface hep. fibrosis severe however shy of any cirrhosis & associated wi neucrosis and few modular structures.steatosis is minimal 5%
No hepatocytic dyplasia, granuloma or malignancy seen. Elevated LFTs
my protein was 6.6 .5 up but they should expect it since I am on So Beach diet which is high protein/fiber. Hemaglobin 14.1
I hav two test to come in yet MRI of liver and
Heart stress test next Tuesday. Then on to the potion of our favorite flavor of Pegassys and Riba. Any comments from you on the above is geatly appreciated.
I figure we should get medical degrees after we are done.
I was made aware of a Hep C March in Washington this coming June. I hope I can make it. Won't be the first time to march in Washington and hopefully not the last. Jefferson said "We need revolutions from time to time to cleanse the Nation." He was in Paris at the time not in this day and age. I am sure he and the forefathers would have a revolution already in motion!
When I know more about the March I will post.
I feel good about not having the cirrohsis will tackle beating the dragon head on. That is why I did the tests available and then some. When I have fought the Colon tunours I was also not having to tackle other situations except environment issues and social issues in state and Washington. It is easier to have less stress than more.
I will meet with Doc soon to see what dosage of what I will be on and when.
Here is to all fighting and soon to be...We shall Overcome! Thanks for all your support Phamily!!!

>I figure we should get medical degrees after we are done.<

You mean to say we don't? Geez....I was gonna be a brain specialist(lol).
Somebody lied to me.........arggg!

Good results from Liverdoc. Opps... I mean LiverMan. Viral load don't mean sh*t. Don't let the numbers throw you. The hardest part now is the wait to start.

Shelly...lol " Social Security Office...all you need to do to get hired is be an imbecile...."
Ain't that the pathetic truth. I don't know why they just don't schedule a hearing with the judge right away instead of making you jump through all the hoops. Oh well, it keeps them off the streets....Remember..never give an inch...You will defeat both the Social Security bureaucracy and the Dragon! Go get em girl!

Shelly.
I am on week 9 TX - Not sure what type of coverage you have for all this - but I have decent (blue cross) and most of my charges have been picked up (these are pricey drugs) - but I am fighting the charge ($375 or so) for the stress test I took - maybe a losing battle - I think if my family doc wrote it up differently though it may have gone through ...just my 2 cents. My hep doc, Kaely Walker, has been grate though - if anyone is in the Cincinnati area I would recommend her to anyone (she works as a team w/ Dr Mark Jonas)
Best wishes on your treatment start - you will be an old pro soon enough - it does suck waiting to start - I had major anxiety waiting.

Rob, Frank says if bus needs painting he is Union Painter! I have BC Bs but no income as of today in house!!!!!!I'm just asking for some help until Tx is over...hell I worked since 1966.
For anyon...must ask for preventive medicine details to be sent in. I went thru that with shrink. But Pegassys has help for us who do not have medical. And the government should help.
I believe in Social Medicine. I also believe in flat taxes. Been to Islands where it works for European Governments but then it means the rich
have to pay their fair share instead of the
workers..sorry for politics but life is politics!
Thanks for the support and info...it also helps the others who look in for support. This is a learning process. Hope today is a better day.

I'm in your corner about having hep C, about treatment, and about dealing with Social Security (in my case because of car accident) which I'm now doing after working and paying into them for years. They are monstrous, they never had trouble or hesitation about taking their cut out of my paycheck, it's a whole different story when the money needs to go in the other direction, which is the reason Social Security exists, after all. Like Mack says, you WILL defeat Social Security's beaurocracy and the dragon, just keep on keepin' on. Peace and Love
