well if the euros invaded the US and forced new elections upon us there'd be plenty of teenagers on our side dying as heros for the cause. clearly there will be little chance for peace until we leave iraq.

I would contend that our leaders are anything but naive, and among other things are actually quite perceptive in their clear belief that the bulk of the voting public are naive idiots.
