1st PCR - 48 hours
Besides being sick as a dead donkey, it looks like I'm off to a pretty good start. Since I started off with a non-pegylated interferon, I decided to do a 48-hr PCR, which is supposedly 98% predictive of response. We were looking for a drop of .8 log or better. Here's the result:
Baseline: 7,700,000
48-hr PCR: 700,000
That's better than a log. My doctor says, "It looks good. I don't know what the hell it means, but it looks good."
Blessings to all of you for your encouragement
Miles
