Railroad Earth 12/3/04 The S-T-A-T-E Theatre Falls Church, VA
well, i have finally recovered from two nights of back to back rail riding. friday nights show was in high gear as we were walking in to the venue. storms was the opener (same as thursday for some reason?) the intensity level was turned up and so was the bass!!! grugg was thumping the notes in a big kinda way. mix that in with some lightning fast pickin from johnny and combine that with trade offs from andy and we were cooking with fire. carey had the closed eyes 'i'm not missing a beat' and was smilin like a buddha. and of corse the crowd favorite timmy was cutting through with sharp and insane fiddle playin. todd sounded really good and asked for a little help here and there, seemed like he either has a cold or his throat is a little rough from kickin it up a notch back to back nights.
the place was crowded, i hear numbers were somewhere in the 500-600 range. for the state that meant it was hot down in front, seemed like all the peeps were on the floor angling for room to shake them bones and get down to some incredible tunes. the ones i recall were...
storms
still water getaway
into a *grubb solo* into
blackbear
wayfaring stranger
head
real love
little rabbit
fidlee
louis ann
colorado
