Hep C Archive:
Encouraging results for new HCV Protease inhibitor
It's the Kahn, the N00b. Hey Pham, anyone hear of this HCV protease inhibitor? Apparently, results have been encouraging, 14 day trial underway currently. First drug to target enzyme that dragon need to reproduce (halts dragon babies). Also, drug well tolerated. Probably take the FDA 15 f'ing years to approve. The idiots at the FDA will approve a drug like Viox, which literally almost killed my Mom, but they have no concern or respect for expediting new hep c treatments.
Jeffrey hope you got your mom on the list for law suit. Shes lucky to still be with you.
Which treatment are you talking about? I see my gastro man Tues and have every intention of seeing what he is up to date on. I tried contacting Vertex but I will have doctor do this if it is what you are talking about? Vx950. This is suppose to target disease not all our other organs...Let me know what you have for a name on it. Thanks
Sami, don't know if my Mom would pursue lawsuit, I just think the FDA are a bunch of clowns.
Michele, yes it is called VX-950 made by Vertex Pharmaceuticals, saw it at janis7hepc.com. It the a new class of antivirals in development for Hep c. I'll get my 4th biopsy in 20 years next week, if minimal fibrosis, I may wait, if the disease has progressed, you'll be hearing my whines and screams because I'll be jumping into the peg treatment. Can't wait for those turds at the FDA. Send me some of your courage, I'm sort of a wuss.
Welcome Jeff,
More wuss courage coming at ya. lol.
Major Domo Wuss(biggest hepper wuss on the Philzone.)

>absorbed through osmosis<
Lotsa that done around these parts. Just enjoying spreadin' the LOVE given freely to me.
Friggin'FDA.
One thing I'd like to mention, the 14-16 day trials are simply to see who dies first, the patient or the dragon. These are the first test done on humans. I, for one, would rather wait a few years for safer drugs than have them rush another thalidomide to market. Kill the dragons, not us.
Jim
How right you are, Jim, I don't want any unnecessary casualties either. However, this drug has been around since 1997, just think if it's a priority, FDA could get through the trials in 2-4 years. Maybe the worst side effects will the growth of a third arm or a second set of sex organs. Not so bad, really.
Jeff,
I have problems using the set that I have as often as I'd like. What would I do with two?
Okay, baby, the left side is done, now get to work on the right...? Hmmmm...
Jim
a second set of sex organs???????/ Hmmmm, that would give a whole new meaning to the phrase.. go F" yourself
:-)
