Now comes this ding-a-ling who, unbelievable as it may sound, is screaching and preaching that not only was the murdering of women, children, and elderly civilians the necessary thing to do, it was the right thing to do.

I read her essay and wrote the following email to her. Then she replied, and I thought her reply was worthy of posting on the Zone. She is a totally fucked human, but sounds strangely like Pat and Seija in her logic... YUK!

Islam and the Commie Bastards are the ones who use their women and children
as weapons of warrior destruction, NOT AMERICA. American warriors HATE
killing the innocent, but if the enemy insists upon using them to kill them,
they have every God-given right and self-preserving obligation to kill them
to save themselves and their friends. If you cannot see the logic and
reasonableness of a soldiers reaction to such a situation in battlefield,
you need far more help than I can give.

The point of this article, which you thoroughly missed, is that it is the
fault of the VC/Islam for the deaths of their own civillians. The CoC
specifically states that you are NOT to attack innocent civillians, but that
becomes null and void if the enemy is forcing civillians to become
combatants. OUr men did NOT want to do this, but to save themselves they
had to. Would you have rathered that THEY came home in caskets? I get the
feeling that hippies most definitely want to see all American warriors in
coffins.

My Lai was a horrific situation, as I stated in the article. It got
completely out of hand and NEVER should have happened, but it was instigated
by the VC, NOT American Soldiers. You cannot blame their reaction; you must
blame the initial act which FORCED their reaction. America's enemies have
always tried to use the natural tenderness and kindness that American
warriors show toward the wounded and civillians against us, and that is what
they did in 'Nam and now. To not be able to see the horror of the decision
they were forced to make is your treachery, not theirs.

I am sure many of the women and children did NOT want to be combatants, and
were forced under threat to do so. They were in a lose-lose situation, but
one created by their own countrymen, NOT the American Warrior.

Our Warriors' reactions to this situation is both logical and reasonable.
How My Lai evolved is an example of what can and does happen in a war zone
with an enemy for whom the slaughter of his own does not matter. WE did not
want to kill women and children, but the enemy did, knowing full well that
it would both harm our men, and then they could "pretend" to care and use it
as propaganda against the American "invaders" to turn the world and the lame
ass hippies in this country to their side. It worked back then because of
people like you, who focus on emotion--like women do--instead of logic and
reason.

These men walk the line, do what we won't, all so I can do what I choose to
do. Never forget that. And that doesn't just mean putting his life in mortal
danger...it also means killing others. Those who survive war pay the highest
price of all, and those who accuse and condemn them are making sure that
price is as high and unreasonable as possible. Those who accuse are the
monsters along with the VC.

We are a good and decent country. We did NOT premeditate to go to 'Nam and
kill innocent people as the Nazis did. We have never--even after winning a
war--taken over and annexed another land. We take our enemy by the hand,
build him up better and stronger than ever, and turn him into an ally. No
one ever does that; we do.

One last thing. The biggest reason Truman used the bomb to end WWII is
because Japan was arming its women and children with broomsticks to fight
off the American landing. They were going to fight to the last Japanese, as
is part of the Boshido code. It was estimated that it would have cost us 1
million men, and Japan over 3 million. Truman dropped the bomb NOT ONLY to
save our men, but to spare them being forced to slaughter women and
children.

That was the evil of Japan...to be willing to use women and children as
pawns of war to kill, demoralize, or psychologically damage American
Warriors is unconscionable. That is what the enemy does, NOT us. We were not
the bad guys in 'Nam...the VC were. We are not the bad guys
now...Islam/Communism is.

Why don't I sign up? Two reasons: 1. I'm 38, far too old. 2. I'm
female, and I am thoroughly against women in the military other than
supportive positions at home, ie., secretaries, production, nursing along
MED units, etc. Our military has given in to the Political Castration of
society and bastardized the purpose of our military into a grand social
experiment--which has utterly failed--just to appease the Bitch Brigade.
That is why.

It's OK to be angry at attrocities, and even demand accountability, but hold
accountable those who ignored the rules of war and used their own wives,
sisters, daughters, mothers, and children as combatants in order to kill our
men. Don't blame the basic, self-preservation instinct of men just trying
to survive and get home in one piece. This was not like the Nazis or the
Commies, who spent years premeditating and brutally overtaking people,
murdering at will and without regard. These were men who answered the call
of duty, hoping to do right, and who were forced into an ungodly act
precipitated by the actions of an evil enemy.

My Lai has bothered me for years. The pictures of little children still
makes my stomach churn. But unlike you, I see the reasonableness of their
reaction. It was horrible, it was awful, and God help all of us for
allowing it to happen. But it was an act caused by the delibrate, cold, and
satanistic actions of the enemy, NOT THE AMERICAN WARRIOR. So point your
wrath and demands for justice where they belong.

On the other hand, there is no logical extension of this to suggest that AMERICANS being in VIETNAM in 1968 or IRAQ in 2004 were NECESSARY to the security of the American people. Japan I can partially agree with (but our interventionistic policies thrust us into that conflict - may have happened anyway but not a justification)

By her thinking any atrocity committed by nation's forces can not only be excused and condoned, but actually celebrated. I believe we miss the point of fact that throughout history there have been so many Mei Lai incidents that you would think that being the intelligent people we are supposed to be we would have learned by now that war, murder doesnot ever solve anything. For all the tyrants we have ever overthrown there is a new one ready to start another war for another self serving reason!
