Republicans say they are all for values and claim their votes reflect that. But they choose to vote for canidates who say they are against abortion knowing there is not a chance in hell abortion is going to become illegal. Actually abortion goes up when there is a republican in the Whitehouse. It happened when Reagan became president and continued to go up under Bush Sr., but dropped when Clinton took office. Then Shrub took over and abortions went right back up.

Then they are against gay marriage because it threatens traditional marriage, but the states that are against gay marriage have a higher divorce rate then ones who are OK with it. And when the election is over Shrub states he supports civil unions, which is what Kerry supported.

So when its over their values supported a guy who will increase the number of abortions and allow gays to have civil unions which is pretty much a gay marriage. Mean while the enviroment is being destroyed, we have lost over a thousand soldiers, and americans are being screwed over by corporate america. Republican values suck.

It seems to me that traditional marriage has been shit on by straight people long enough that everyone should have a chance. How does a gay couple who stay together threaten the institution more than a straight person who marries and divorces 3 times before they're 30? The institution of marriage has already been debased.
