I gotta say, I still love the studio version of that one!
Any from May of '77 float my boat.
9-2-80 changed my life
a black labrador I once knew--hi laura
Got to agree on the studio one, one of the few examples of Jerry / The boys having a superior studio version
4/24/01 sick guitar solos from Jimmy and then Warren!!!
6-17-82 Greatest Sugaree hands down. A JGB performance.
Any 77 version.
8/7/82 Music-Sugaree-Music (I was there too!)
Best Warren version: 7/27/01
Capitol Theatre, Passaic, NJ '78 (11/24?)
That show also has one of my top 3 Jack Straws
1) 9/6/80...Lewiston, ME
2) 9/2/80...Rochester, NY
Sugaree -
GD 11/07/71

TOO 11/24/02

PLQ 07/19/02

I agree with sideshow Bob, 8-7-82 Alpine was very hot. The bridge from Sugaree back into Music was mindblowing. However, 6-27-83 the following summer's tour was awesome. A first set closer at Poplar Creek. Jerry ripped it up and down.
have you all forgotten THE SUGAREE. its lake placid,ny 10-17-83. but there are plenty of great sugarees.
I like the one I saw at Nassau Col in spring 91 ! A bit understated maybe, but the buildup towards the end of the song is really nice ! Date slips my mind, but it was Good Friday that much I do remember ! First Brentless show for me too !
Sideshow Bob - thanks for pointing out 8/7/82.
I haven't listened to that show in many moons...just popped it on and it is good one!
3.27.95 is pretty kewl, kinda has some of the same Jerry effects as the Fire from 10.14.94.
Garcia Band Sugarees are where its at.
8/24/72 is my new none JGB version. It's sweet.
4/12/82 is VERY sweet....
Oh Hi SI,
4.12.82 is still is fresh in my mind, I guess because of the Women are Smarter intro, and red rosey back drop.
Thanks my dear friend for the reminder "."
Peace
The Studio version of Sugaree is just Jerry and Billy.
{Hey now brother.. I knews it was you before}
WFUV aired it a week or so ago, and I wasn't sure who was playing keyboards. Thanks for the G2, I will buy it for sure "."
JGB 2/14/81 was great one "."
Peace
Lewiston 1980......one of the best!
8-7-04
The one from dicks picks 3 is like 17mins long and smokes from beginning to end. Bobbie beats the hell outta the song and jerry is just somewhere else.
I'm partial to the one that kicks off the amazing JGB show of May 21st 1976, as captured on the "Don't Let Go" album. Every Deadhead ought not continue living without it!
