Another excellent show, with last night being the last show of tour, and for Warren, the last stop on an almost continual concert itinerary since early June (Tours: The Dead I, AllmansI, Dead II, Allmans II, Mule I, Allmans III, and Mule II). Thank you Warren!!!! Now Please take a rest

Great crowd energy, pumped but appreciative, almost full house. This show was the psychedelic night versus Eugene. Much mellower overall vibe. First set showcased their new album but also had killer versions of Wandering Child, Monkey Hill>SSH, and Mule with a couple verses of "very superstitiuous" thrown in. I have found myself liking the slower songs on DV more and more and My Separate Reality was the highlight for new tunes. Bad Man Walking is one of the new tunes I could do without, a lesser player at best.

Second set continued the introspective/spacy feel of the first set. Wareren was using his paintbrush more than the hammer last night. There was a new song or possibly a cover I have never heard- Once Upon a Time, slower tempo, kind of reminded me of that tune "Dreams to Remember". Every time I think I have heard the sickest TNK jam, they impress more with the next one. Very psychedelic version into the Mr. Matt Abts Drum Clinic...Matt can play drums a little.
Left Coast Groovies was a treat to hear for the first time and then we got another smokin Lola to close out the set.

I was pleasantly surprised to not hear the intro to Soulshine when they came back out for the encore...New World Blues...my fave tune off their new album, and they just NAILED it. Into a sweet melodic version of Soulshine for closure to their 5 week tour. They all seemed real emotional during the encore and HAPPY.

Thank you GOVT MULE for throwing down such an amazing tour and run of shows on the west coast!
