hope you had fun! I am trying to burn the 10.31 show(I was there), and its being a pain~looking forward to some reviews of this ONE! WOW!
Holy fuck shit! They played Goin' Down !!!!!! AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
That's a pretty damn cool setlist right there. The hard fine whiskey set with a lil bit o red faced madness to boot. I bet John Popper tore it up on Sco Mule, that's been one hell of a number lately.
Can't believe they finally played Goin' Down, thank you Warren Haynes but I am left wonder, are you reading my mind? or is it the collective unconscious of generations of mine?
Goin' Down
I'm goin' down

Hell yeah. That's my motherfuckin Mule.
The show rocked- I was about about 3 feet right and 10 feet back from Warren- and I even got one of his guitar picks. The above setlist doesn't mention that Jim Fisher (I might be wrong on the first name) came out and played Sco-mule through Jesus just left Chicago. I believe he is the original guitar player for Heart. First set was nice, second set was sick. John Popper was gettin' down- that boy can play. I especially liked when John and Warren were doing some lick trading and instrument battling. Warren always delivers in Seattle- last time was 2 years ago, so he probably felt he owed us a killer show. Later yall-
Jim Fisher tore the roof off the place on Goin Down; Matt Abts, just how good is this guy !?!?! Warren: is there any other white guy on the planet that has the soulful voice/guitar chop combo...The B-3 'wash sound' last night wove all the different pieces together perfectly for me. This took away the detracting factor of too much 'southern rock' sound; The presense of John Popper definately rose the energy of the show but his harmonica has always kinda irked me; always reminds me of frat guys and hemp chokers; anyways i feel like i was lucky to have gone to the show..
I agree with your B-3 'wash sound' statement. The keyboard player- Danny Louis- knows how and where to place everything and it really fits in with the Mule style. Long live the Mule- I think Mule is at it peak- these are shows to see.
Don't fuck with da Mule baby!
I was there. Second set was the one! It was hard to hear Popper thru the mix where I was, front left by speaker... cept when he was exchanging licks with Warren.. then it was loud and clear! Great night...a treat! I liked how Warren kept handing out guitar picks. It was like he was handing out holy communion. Guess that's a comment on my catholic upbringing. Yes, I accept the body and blood of the Mule!
Popper in ny..

a little blurry, lean back a bit, you can see the mic wire loopin down, then back to his up to his harmaonica, he can wail.
Mule is the best band in the world - right now!
Ditto...the West Coast shows seemed to have all been just great. You guys made me drool with these three reviews, and I saw nothing short of great shows in Cali.
