Sami glad to hear the good news!
I go in on Monday for Blood tests, and a Liver
Biopsy, I don't mind the blood tests, But to tell
you the truth, I am scared shitless about the
liver biopsy, But now that the Hep-c is getting
worse, I have to find out if I am going to survive
the Hep-c or if I am going to be another victim
of this disease. Does anyone have any suggestions
or help to give regarding this liver biopsy, I am
scared, and need some support!

Bruce,

The liver biopsy is not all that bad. Took Sami just a few minuts and it was over with. Not real painfull and all that. You will be a little slow gettin round right afterwards so be sure you have arranged for someone to drive you home from the docs..

Dan

Dan,
Thank you for your support, I need it alot lately since things have gotten worse in the way
of The Hep-c and I think I am losing the battle,
and that Old dragon will soon win! I am hanging in
though, because I found someone who loves me, but
she can't be with me now, because she is locked up
in one of those women's correctional Institutions,
and wouldn't get out until 2006 ! I so much want to be around, when she gets home !!!
I only hope it is possible, but the suffering
only continues, and sometimes death becomes more
easier to deal with ! I just hope that if it does
happen before she gets out, that she will forgive
me !!! but Monday will be the day of the tests,
and a week later, I should Know for sure the results of the tests !!!
Thanks alot for caring, I really need it lately!

Your Old Hippy/Deadhead Friend,

Bruce

Bruce, my doc did not need a biopsy! I threw a fit! he did ultra sound and blood work. but in 2 weeks after tx will tell the tale? scared me too. I think it may or may not be necasarry? If the doc sugest it you may want to, but I heard it's not a bad procedure, PEACE Rose

Great news Sami and Daniel, and thank you for sharing it with us. I have been coming to these boards for about a year, on Tx's for about 7 months, and I'm most inspired and hopeful after reading about positive results, which seem to be more and more frequent as time has passed.

Bruce, I am quite the wimp regarding medical procedures, but the biopsy I endured really wasn't bad at all. I believe what I had was called an ultrasound assisted biopsy which itself was over quickly, but the wait afterward in the outpatient recovery area was about 4 hours. I know it is easy for others to say, but I believe half the battle of overcoming any illness is keeping as positive as possible, and probably not getting to far ahead of ourselves as well. I am somewhat of a private person and come here mostly for information, but if emotional support is something that one needs, I believe this is the foremost site for it, as the people here seem sincere and full of goodwill. I come here almost daily, read allot and post a little, and will look forward to reading about your progress.

Hopes of health and happiness to you all !!!
NYJIMMY

Thank you all for your support, as well as for the
encouragement to find the courage to face the Liver biopsy on Monday, and go from there ! I Love
the thought of a Ultrasound assisted biopsy, it
sound perfect, but I am going to let my Doctor,
make the calls !
By the way everyone, On Nov. 2, 2004, Initiative
148 was passed in Montana, allowing patients with
uncurable diseases to use Medical Marijuana !!!!
So on Monday, when i go in for the blood tests,
Liver biopsy; I am going to discuss with the doc
about getting on the Medical Marijuana Program !!
Thank You all again so much for your support !!!
Your Old Hippy/Deadhead Friend,
Bruce

Bruce, take a book. The worst part is the wait afterward. Your fav dead song is also very special to me. Listenning to that song, back in 87,a light came on in my head and heart and I "got" Jery Garcia. Never looked back. Joan sang a very very fine version at NYE last year. I guess for me it really was the roses.
PEACE, Mark
Family, Phamily(this site), good friends and or a kind caregiver, and medical marijuana. Not necessarily in that order. Ya that's the ticket.

The very worst thing about the biopsy was thinking about it in advance, really. I almost felt gyped, having gone through mountains of obsessive worrying for nothing! Bruce, say hello to your girl from me, I've got lots of incarcerated friends. I hope you get lots of visits! Peace, Fran

Bruce,
sent you an e-mail regarding the biopsy procedure. Hope you got it.
I'm not an expert , but I've had 3 of them, so I think I have a little experience there (LOL)!!
It's not bad at all, at least mine weren't. Take care and best wishes.....
Martin :-)
