Music Talk Archive 2004:
What internet radio do you stream at work?
I'm always looking for new sites.
www.wfuv.org - eclectic, singer/songwriter, AAA
www.xpn.org - same as wfuv
www.wbgo.org - world's greatest jazz station
www.accujazz.com
www.wwoz.com - New Orleans (Dylan mentions in Chronicles that he listened to WOZ while recording "Oh Mercy" down there)

fully and completely listener supported...no corporate underwriting whatsoever
free speech in broardcasting at its purest
http://www.kafmradio.org/
Very eclectic community radio at it's finest.
Another killer non-profit community radio station...broadcast from the front porch of this guy's farmouse in Creston, MT.
www.montanaradiocafe.org
"It's all about the Music. Jazz, Blues, Folk, Bluegrass and more..."
I always go here when I want to hear something *completely* different...
(and I end up feeling a bit old too, but that's ok!)

www.wrek.org (91.1 FM)
Georgia Tech student run radio
You can have your high minded stuff, I stream club977. All 80s all the time.
This isn't radio, and isn't free, but for 10 bucks a month I find it's hard to beat rhapsody. I haven't checked, but I assume it's rhapsody.com? In any case, they have a huge catalog, and you can stream unlimited all the time. It has an awesome interface, with tons of info about the music. For any artist you bring up, it gives you a sampler, plus the most popular tracks, as well as a list of their influences, and who they have influenced. I find it's an awesome way to research and learn new music. You can burn anything for 79 cents a tune, which is also a very good deal. Can't recommend it enough.
Good call on kcuv, G. I've been listening all day.
It is sweet, they just switched to media player and I have been experiencing buffering delay's....
Have you checked out that Montana Radio listed above? I've been digging that one.
I listened to the Montana station yesterday. It's also good. Diverse playlist.
