Saw this show last night and was blown away. Urge was fun straight up rock and roll but The Pixies were something else all together. They played with a fire I didn't expect coming in. I wish I could have attended all 5 sold out nights at the Aragon. Anybody else catch these guys in Chicago or anywhere else?

Yep, saw the Pixies in Columbus not long ago. Outstanding. Black Francis is a unique songwriter, very underated. Let's hope they stay together long enough to put out some new material.

Yeah, the show was amazing. I was hoping to hear from more people around here that caught them on tour. I guess it's that New Railroad Earth jazz or nothing for these hippies. Oh, well.

I truly enjoyed their second show in Detroit but i remain skeptical as to what their intentions for getting back together are. I would like to think that they are busy writing new songs...

They have a new song available through that iPod deal. I've read articles where Black Francis speaks about getting back into the studio this coming year. So, I think they're doing it for real. Whatever the reason, I'm glad they got back together. It gave me a chance to see them and see them kick ass at the same time. Whatever the intentions, the result has been some powerfully kick ass music.

Just in case I didn't use the phrase enough in the last post - Kick Ass!
