it is a good disk, was supposed to see them somewhere this summer, but they cancelled

Jahnee on the Spot hooked me up with a few of their shows a couple months back (he's a pretty big supporter). Really good stuff.

I saw them open for Gillian Welsh at the Bowery about a month ago. They are really a marvelous band and although their albums are good, you really have to see them live to appreciate them. There are a couple of standouts in their lineup, most notably Ketch Secor who plays EVERYTHING and sings great too. They are wonderful performers and have lots of personality as well. David Rawlings also sits in with them when he is there. Lots of energy and lots of fun--very heady bluegrass musicians.
