3 years 12.25 mil for Vizquel. It seems a bit high to me but he is a solid clubhouse guy who can still get to the ball. What do you guys think?

4 mil per is a steal anymore. God, I can't believe that's what it's come to anymore....

Damn, I was gonna post the exact same question. the dude is getting up there in years, but he fields like a mofo. The defense pretty much sucked at times last year, especially late. He never had much pop in his bat. I don't think this is any great thing but at the same time I don't think it hurts. It isn't like Cruz or Ransom were budding stars. All in all I need more than Omar Vizquel to make me feel like the front office is making some solid moves. We still need a bullpen...and someone to bat behind Barry

we can offer up Craig Counsell if you like.:-)

seriously though, why wouldn't a team like the Giants go hard after Nomar?

Because Nomar is going to ask for 18-20 for 5 years and wants to play in a warm climate, no matter what the papers say, to be near his wife . Expect to see a Anaheim signing before the yr is out, then Eckstein goes to second , their D is a bit weaker bur another bat to go with Vlad,Anderson etc. They also have the cash as they let Troy Glaus and Percival walk,

That's easy: because the Giants ain't gonna spend the money required to get Nomar. If we had any idea he would stay healthy I would say the Giants should go after Troy Glaus. Move Alfonso to second, since we are supposedly going to lose Ray Durham. It would work. Still leaves bullpen issues...BIG bullpen issues. As for Craig Counsell: that Witcheypoo (from HR Puffinstuff) lookin' motherfucker had better not EVER suit up in a Giants unifirm. If he did, he gets fragged
