What an idiot! Asking for time off because he is worn out from working on his rap album. And he says things to the effect of him not giving hoops 100% of his attention until after said rap album is released. If the Pacers have any sack at all they will release this loose cannon. It's not like he's been a model citizen as it is. Even by the loose standards of the NBA this guy stands out as a moron. In a perfect world the Pacers release, the rest of the league refuses to sign a guy to whom the team is not #1, and then he has to go work for a living like the rest of us.

I was listening to the radio last night coming home from work and Artest was being interviewed and asked what his comments were about getting benched and this one reporter asked him "Do you know anything about integrity?" Artest answered the question something to the effect of "I don't know what that word means I haven't used a dictionary very much."

Iowa knocked off Texas and Louisville. Looks like all the people doing the preseason rankings didn't do their homework.

The Heels lost to Santa Clara, the school that Steve Nash attended. I was there: it was a meaningless loss. They should have never lost, but they came out as rusty and uninspired as possible (plus they had no Felton). The real Heels have shown up the past 2 nights. Unless they have made a new rule that you have to be undefeated to win it all. If you honestly think Carolina losing to Santa Clara means NCSU is better, or that UNC is finished, then go ahead thinking that. Whatever helps you sleep at night
