Music Talk ONLY! Hot Sauce Recipe
I couldn't figure out which folder to put this in, this seemed like the appropriate place.
Take one glass jar (pickle jar, or spaghetti sauce jar with a wide lid) and fill halfway with distilled vinegar. Add hot peppers (any variety you prefer, preferably home grown) to the jar until you can't fit any more peppers in the jar. I usually crack the peppers in two or slice the stem end off so that the vinegar infuses the peppers inside and out. Throw pepper/vinegar combo into a blender, puree well. Taste, wipe sweat off brow. Add salt, garlic, sugar or honey to taste and puree some more. Repeat last two steps until the taste/heat blend meets approval.
Sweat your balls off, and enjoy!
i prefer habenero peppers (or scotch bonnets), vinegar, and carrot. I've been told the sugar (also found in fruits and veggies) make it hotter, so the more sweet ya add the hotter yer batch. then let the pain and sweating begin
How long do you let the peppers soak?
