good job lads, we tore the roof off the downtown
havent had that much FUN at a show in a long long time
my sides still ache from laffing so hard
and my head still hurts from a TON of beer
thanks for the hospitality and good times
a "boys nite out" for the ages!!!!!
lets do that AGAIN!!!!
and boy do I miss wetlands more than ever!!!!
Ah, the Wetlands... I spent many a Tuesday night there during the '90s, and had a very unofficial stint as the assistant DJ on Dead night (my two best friends - identical twins - ran the light board there for many years) What a place. I heard a rumor that the legendary VW bus/office now sits in the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland... can anyone confirm?
it does
Big Fun.
thanks for The Miracle, Brian
awesome line up of Playas in attendance
many a laugh
TWLWMYD was def killer. Jeff doing his little Jerry Stomp round the stage. good stuff

>>lets do it again real soon , you hear?
ok.. this Saturday night, Mexicali Blues Cafe... bring your costume
"TWLWMYD was def killer. Jeff doing his little Jerry Stomp round the stage. good stuff"
When did Jerry stomp?
well....not literally
I mean....not like Godzilla stomping on Japan or anything
you know what i mean~
hey Randi` asked for you. was told you were
" around" by a young lady ( blonde) with a camera/laminate ( coupla us were standing
behind the beer stand right by Rob. great view )
told her to tell you regards from yours truly
maybe next time
well how about that? they a Bruce Hornsby song!
Hey Brick, I was standing right in front of Jeff, my husband, for most of the night (my usual spot). But I was running around a bit too. Maybe I will get a chance to say hi to you in person at either the 11/27/04 Mercury Lounge show or the 1/1/05 Downtown show.
New Years Day sounded intriguing~
cool wake up call-
what time is that show?
All Ages?
surprised nobody has mentioned how ZT used to be known by the name Volunteers.
quick story-
back in the day, i dated a girl that hailed from Ramsey,NJ. she moved down here between the MSG shows and the Florida swing in '88.
she raved about this band back home...just wouldn't stop...even after i turned her on to Panic, The Grapes,YUR and other local bands.
anyway,
i placed an ad in the back of Relix asking for some Volunteers tapes. who send me back a mailer w/ 2 soundboard shows?
Jeff Mattson himself.
the note read something like...."i see you were looking for tapes of our shows, these were fun gigs, hope you dig it"
blew me away
i always thought that was the coolest thing...
carry on-
bro- NewYears DAy show!
post Mule- you can do it
and thank him in person
new years day show....
THAT IS A GREAT IDEA!
New Year's day will not be a day-time show, but a night show at the Downtown and it will have an opener before the Tricksters. The Downtown is 18+ to enter, 21+ to drink. The Zen Tricksters have also just announced their NYE show at Tribeca Rock Club on Warren Street in NYC. All Tricksters and featuring plenty of theater-type fun stuff. If you were there last year, you remember a snake dancer, glow stick dancers, a wild Father Time and Baby New Year, and a cool light show, among other stuff. They try to bring to NYC the kind of stuff they used to do at The Crystal Ballroom in Portland, OR. Pretty cool stuff.
D'OHHH!
Right on. Good to see Baracco mingling in the crowd and playing with the Tricksters again. Nice pics you got there TR! Twas a fun evening and seeing you zoner freaks made it even more enjoyable. Hope to party down with you all real soon. Thanks again SI for the lift home and the rest of you freaks for the laughs and drinks.
