shall we start with my first questions? Let's, yes, shall we.....

Do you have the new album?
(resoundlingly, across the Orpheum, this was met with
OF COURSE)

and...whaddya think?
Got a lot of "growing on me" as a response...like often is with new albums. My thoughts? HEH.

Well, first off, the album is MIXED beautifully. You hear EVERYONE. How do they DO that?

And since you can hear it so well...I offer this.
The great four person bands...help me, music wizards....I immediately think of the Beatles. The Pixies!! The vigor of those bands came from the personalities playing OFF each other.

Mule is Warren's band. That's part of why I love it. He plays so much in OTHER people's bands. And Matt is a great genius....but as he doesn't play melody....I'm not sure HE can do what I want. When people say the songs sound very similar to each other on DJ VOODOO....those songs are, to me, all about Warren's soul, of course they sound the same. I want Warren to tug....not with a legacy, but with a bandmate.....creative conflict.


BUT TO LAST NIGHT.
