Paul & I got up to Omaha about 6, drank a couple of beers & puffed down at my friend's pad, then headed to Sokol
parking was scarce, but we managed to get a place right behind the venue~ sweet
a very old gym, about 100 years old
security was lax, inside & outside
easy to burn one while jammin out up close
the show was not packed, a good crowd though, which was nice,
you could move around, get close to check it out about 10 feet from the band or move back to just boogie down
This was a HIGH ENERGY SHOW!!!!!
You could just tell that these cats were ready to lay down & they did not disappoint
some highlights~
Pygmy>Blind Man in the Dark was a nice appetizer, I dig these tunes & Warren busted out, as well as the rest of the band
About to Rage & Perfect Shelter, new tunes from Deja Vodoo, like them both on the album, sound even better live, this album is magic, got some great tunes on it, can't wait to hear more of them live
really dug Fallen Down>Other One Jam> Fallen Down, but then, I always do
got to see Warren sing this acoustic at RR this summer, sweet stuff, plus they do justice tot he Other One jam
Lola Leave Your Light On
WOW, love this tune, so sexy, so rockin', they really rocked it out for us, you could really get into the groove, feel it, be it
Slackjaw Jezebel~ this one is growing on me, although the album version is good, the live version was GRATE!!!!!!
Liveley Up Yourself~ ya can't go wrong with some island vibes mixed into the groove
Comfortably Numb>Soulshine
a perfect ending to a kick ass evening of music
the hwole show was grate, just a few of my favs, don't have time to rap about each one
Everytime I see these guys, I dig them even more
my best Mule show yet
that's why I keep going back
Perhaps not the best review, not very scientific or anything like that
but for me, it was being there, with friends, the music, the energy, the non-stop-kick-your-ass-rockin out that I love so much
until next time...

Good words, Hemptress, thanks for sharing. Looks like a monster of a show indeed.
ONWARD, STRONG MULE
I was there too., Thought it was great. I live in Lincoln, NE. and it's kind of a big deal to get any of the GD family bands to play here. A great show!
dude, I wish that I had known that you were there, would have loved to have met ya
now we're 0-2
you've been to Lawrence, I to Omaha & we STILL have not meet- too funny
was a grate show, did you know anyone that was taping it?
I meant to speak with the tapers at the half & find one that would B&P for it, but got pretty messed up , was having so much fun that I forgot

Great review Amy, you got me all excited for the coming of the Mule!!! Glad to hear you had a great time and a rockin show. that setlist looks amazing. And its very berry cool that you are digging the new songs. I can't wait. To tour the Mule or not, that is the question!
Wherefore art thou Mule..??..
