Tack>>Head in the Area!
boy howdy what a show...Doug Wimbish, Skip McDonald, Keith LeBlanc and Bernard Fowler brought their unique brand of funky-ass, deeply soulful and heavy-duty dub-rock out of hiding with the able hands of Adrian Sherwood and his On-U Sound System at the control knobs for an incredibly rewarding show in SF last night...any zoners make it out for this rare treat? Incredible musicians Wimbish, McDonald, and LeBlanc put hip-hop on the map as the legendary Sugar Hill house band and rhythm section for the likes of Melle Mel and Grandmaster Flash, while Adrian Sherwood and On-U Sound defined experemental dub reggae and took production to new heights..Bernard Fowler has spent a great deal of his time singing backup for the Stones...living legends playing to a house of about 150 energized fans...magic
